Security Moving operates out of Northern Virginia. The company was founded to provide a superior moving experience to customers relocating their belongings to their new home. With two van operators, having more than 25 years on the road experience, and using seasoned crews, we handle your belongings with the care and attitude you would expect from any professional service.

We are Independent from the major van lines and handle your move throughout every stage. You can be assured that your shipment will not be handed off to another mover, a process known as interlining that is very common in the industry. MOVING SERVICES

Our professional movers have the experience to protect and handle your belongings with the care that it deserves. We offer dedicated moving vans with load and unload dates that meet your schedule. This eliminates the chance of overflow and misplaced items. If your move requires "storage in transit" (SIT) we have the flexibility to greatly reduce or eliminate these charges depending on your requirements.

Local Moving – Moving within a 31-mile radius of Washington DC? We offer different pricing options for this type of move. After your in-home survey, we will determine the best pricing options to meet your needs

Intra-State Moving – Moving over 31 miles in the state of Virginia? Intra-State moves are charged by weight, miles, and your specific needs. We have the required certificate from Virginia to handle this type of job. Check that your mover has the required certificate to perform this type of move at Virginia Movers & Warehousemen's Association

Interstate Moving – Moving to another state within the USA? These moves are calculated using weight, zip codes and your personal requirements. By eliminating the several layers of personal involved with long distance moves we can offer better discounts on large shipments. It also provides better communication eliminating the chance of scheduling mistakes.

Auto Transport – We are equipped to ship your automobile in the moving van with your household goods.

STORAGE

There are occasions when you may not be able to move your belongings directly into your new home. We have storage solutions to meet your needs. Whether planned or unplanned, short-term or long-term. If your facing SIT charges we have the flexibility to greatly reduce your expense.

When you store your belongings with us you can be confident that it will be handled with the same care that you witnessed when it was removed from your home.

“I cannot say enough about what a great experience I had with Security Movers. I had initially booked my move with a company called Supreme Movers. They did not show up on the day scheduled and I cancelled that company after they attempted to get an additional deposit to show up the next day. This put me in a position of having to find a mover on Friday night to move me over the weekend so that I could close on the selling of my house on Monday. I began searching Angies List and Home Advisor, and finally found Security Movers. Greg, the owner, contacted me immediately and said he could do the move with pickup on Sunday. Having no choice, I scheduled him after he sent me a fantastic estimate. Greg and his team of 3 other movers arrived precisely as scheduled at 8am on Sunday and quickly and efficiently went to work. I was impressed with their care in packing and wrapping fragile items and glass top furniture and their overall professionalism and willingness to do anything to make the experience go well. They were scheduled to arrive at the offload location in Alabama at 8am Thursday after the Sunday pickup. Greg called me on Wednesday night stating they were already in town and staying at a hotel and asked to start earlier the next morning, so we set the delivery time at 7am. I arrived at the house at 6:45 and they were already there getting set up. The delivery went just as smooth and professionally as the pickup, with them reassembling everything as required and carefully placing items exactly where we wanted them. If you are looking for an exceptional moving company, look NO further than Security Movers. It is a small independent company, but turned out to be the very best move I have ever had. Their professionalism and integrity are superb, and I will readily recommend Greg and his company to friends and anyone else needing their service. I didn't mention the price they charged, but it was unbelievable. The entire move cost $7,138 from Virginia to Alabama, and we had an extremely large load, well over 16,000lbs. Compare that with four other estimates I had which ranged from just over $10,000 to $14,000. If I could rate them on a 5 star level, they would be a 10 most certainly!!”
